Lovely pub near train station, good selection of ales. The Christmas menu was excellent. Nice outdoor space as well. We had a slight issue as one of the dishes we ordered was not gluten free, but that was resolved without fuss and the staff were so apologetic. Well Done Team Windmill From the Northern Railway Team

Nice vibe to the pub! Service was ok. Food was ok when hungry but could make better at home! Then price also doesn’t make it worth it not to cook as over Β£10 for a shawarma on flatbread. The flatbread wasn’t grilled at all the chicken was more like package chicken than shawarma all looked very sad on the plate but was edible!

What a gorgeous little pub! The staff were super friendly and could not have been more attentive. Great atmosphere. Even though we weren't locals, we were made to feel like one! Looked after our dog lola and showered her with cheese (her fave) and attention! They definitely go the extra mile! Would recommend if in york!

Great and welcoming pub with good quick bites and great selection of beers. Inches cider is on tap and Guinness Extra cold as well. Atmosphere is warm and seating is quite abundant.

Nice pub in a good location, friendly staff but unfortunately mediocre food at the time of our visit. We had the Sunday lunch, roast beef which was over done and rather chewy and the anaemic roast potatoes looked like they'd never seen an oven. It was edible but I certainly wouldn't recommend it plus the smell from the toilets was rather off-putting.
