Atmosphere is nice with many screens to watch your favourite sports, not too loud either which is good! I had a delicious and good value roast pork loin with a cold Leo, perfect pairing whilst watching The Ashes.

Comming here with English friend of mine on Sunday at noon for Roasted plate, served with house red wine I’ve never come to this english style pub before. And for lunch time, it is like typical restaurant with people from small kid to grown up. Overall experience was impressive and food is also good. If you are football or rugby fan, there are many tv screens showing matches of those sport.

The Royal Oak Rocks. Passed it accidentally and decided to walk in. Been coming here ever since. Lovely food and an all day long happy hour. From opening at 9am until 7pm. An exceptional staff, polite and always on top of things. Always had a cocktail on the way. Clean staff and always well groomed. All the waitresses have their hair tied back. Always served me with a smile. The bartenders kicked ass. Especially Chan. Great at his job, very proud of his work. Chan pours a lovely pint and always with a smile. Excellent English as well. The Oak has sort of has become a second home. Always drop by, and part of my daily routine. Would recommend to all.

If you’re looking for a place that delivers not only outstanding food but also an unforgettable experience, The Royal Oak is it. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed, relaxed, and taken care of. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and beautifully presented — the kind of setting that feels perfect whether you’re enjoying a quiet evening or celebrating with friends. The food and drinks were exceptional — each dish beautifully prepared, bursting with flavour, and presented with care. The drink selection is equally impressive, offering something for every mood. But what truly made the evening unforgettable was the service, especially from our waitress Fon. She was nothing short of amazing — friendly, attentive, and genuine in every interaction. Fon made us feel not like customers, but like valued guests. Her timing was impeccable, her recommendations were spot on, and her warm personality elevated the entire experience. It’s rare to find a place that gets everything right, but The Royal Oak manages it effortlessly. With fantastic food, a stunning setting, and service that goes above and beyond, it’s a place I’ll happily return again.

REGAL Dining & Chilling at ROYAL OAK Episode 1: The Journey to Royal Oak Every hour is HAPPY HOUR - sometimes the pub is happy, and at other times it’s the patrons. My quest for dining happiness brought me to ROYAL OAK PUB & RESTAURANT a couple of years ago, after having faced multiple disappointing sessions in nearby venues. Royal OaK which is designed on a British theme was the only venue in the neighborhood which I hadn’t visited. One fine day as I was walking by, I glanced at the venue briefly and the smiling staff caught my attention and I decided to give it a shot. My conviction about ‘First Impression’ being the most crucial element of any interaction proved true on my first and subsequent visits. 👍 Episode 2: MAX the Magician Over my multiple visits across two years I observed several things such as the attitude of the staff and the quality of the food. The good service of the warm staff and the quality of the food boils down to one crucial element - Mr. Max Antony - the incumbent Manager at Royal Oak. Max not only handles the various situations that can randomly popup in the pub, but also ensures the food portions are generous, easy to chew, well presented along with an array of sauces and condiments, and above all - the food is delicious! There was one rare occasion when I had to bring to his attention a certain dish that was a bit off. Not only did Max immediately rectify it, he ensured that he found the cause and made sure quality control was top notch. Bravo 👏 Episode 3: Confluence of Cuisines Be it Western or Oriental cuisine you crave for, Royal Oak offers a multitude of dishes ranging from roasts, pasta, steaks, pizza, burgers etc to tasty Thai dishes where you can specify the spicy level. The number of items on the menu is adequate and the only problem I’ve had is in deciding what to choose from! Before writing this review, I feasted on a couple of occasions over Grilled Salmon, homemade brownie, cocktails, Thai dishes, Cashew nuts and some more. I always ask myself why a person must leave the comfort of one’s home to dine at a restaurant given the availability of food delivery? My answer is obvious - the warm food, ambience and above all, the warm service and attention from the staff which makes me feel at home. I’ve quit frequenting restaurants which can’t cater to my criteria, and it is my conviction at the time of writing that ROYAL OAK won’t disappoint you! Beverages are plenty ranging from the usual armada of ‘hard drinks’ from cocktails to lager, wine and beyond to a plethora of ‘soft drinks’ from Mocktails to various types of sodas. Another worthy mention is a bookshelf on the second floor which contain a wide range of wonderful English books. These books can be purchased at a very reasonable price (3 for a hundred baht) and all proceeds goes to charity. Patrons can opt to donate their books for a good cause too, and all that is needed is to notify the kind Manager, Mr. Max who will assist you. I have bought several books to support the charity cause along with donating over a dozen books which are in good condition and read worthy. Episode 4: Check Bill Please What I liked about this venue is that once you order and have received your choice of food or beverage, the staff will bring a small slip which contains the items you ordered along with the price and dues and put it in an unobtrusive circular container on the table. When you order more, this slip is removed and updated to reflect the current status. This way, the patron can check and verify the items of their orders along with the amount due, and avoid any issues at the time of checkout. Payment options are plenty, ranging from the de facto Cash, to payment by scanning along with the universal preferred method of credit cards for which there is no minimum amount required like some other venues in the area. So, you know how much to pay as you go and the payment process is convenient. Even though I’m a writer, I feel I was probably BORN TO EAT, but Forced to Work. However, I get both done at ROYAL OAK .✍️ ENJOY!
