If you love watching sport it's wonderful, must be about 15 TV's plus a giant screen just in case you can't see a TV! Busy bar, but staff numbers and experience means you don't have to wait long, Gents toilet was small and smelly. Good range of beer, not so much for whisky drinkers, no Auchentosh Three Wood, no Bowmore 15YO.

Booked for a Christmas dinner on the ‘seasonal spreads’ package. 35 of us total paid £26 each for a total lump sum of £910. Menu looked nice, with a range of different stuff like ‘Mushroom and crumbly blue arancini’ - not Christmas food, but we understood that before booking, that was not the problem. The food was very very low quality. Tiny burgers each with the meat sliced in half to fit inside little buns, frozen fish fingers, bowls of cheap chips, pigs in blankets (that were £3pp extra) that were barely cooked and made with the cheapest little sausages ever. The funniest part was the doughballs, which were just very very dry flavourless lumps of dense bread in a big pile, with a little bit of sickly chocolate sauce drizzled ontop and maybe 10 raspberries. Most of our group found this to be the 1 menu item that was actually inedible. Most of the food, like the burgers and chicken wings etc, we ate, as everyone was hungry, the problem was the quality. £14 or so per person would have been the upper limit, to charge £26 was completely insane. There was also really not enough food (even if you had a jaw strong enough to eat the doughballs). We tried to speak to a manager to explain, and get a partial refund or similar, but the manager wasn’t in. The bar staff were lovely but said they couldn’t help us themselves, made a phone call and were authorised to give us 1 glass of Prosecco per person, so about a £2 compensation each given the cost of a few bottles of wholesale Prosecco. Again, not the staff’s fault, this was just a really rubbish management/ownership decision to make a package and charge this price, for this quality of food. A real shame.

We go to The Ark all the time, and it never disappoints. The atmosphere is always lively but relaxed, perfect for catching up with friends or watching a game. The food and drinks are great value, and the place is always clean and well looked after. A special mention to Cara, who always serves us with a smile, making the experience even better. She’s friendly, attentive, and always goes out of her way to make sure everything’s spot on. It’s staff like her that keep us coming back every time! Highly recommend The Ark to anyone looking for a great pub in the city centre.

The Ark in Glasgow is a fantastic spot with great vibes, an excellent beer selection, and a welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re stopping by for a casual pint or a full meal, this place delivers on all fronts. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it a great place to relax with friends. Megan, the manager, is awesome—friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about making sure everyone has a great experience. The staff as a whole is top-notch, adding to the pub’s welcoming feel. The food is just as impressive as the drinks, with a solid menu that complements the extensive beer selection. If you’re in Glasgow and looking for a great pub, The Ark is definitely worth a visit!
