  Had a lovely meet up with old friends for brunch. Our waiter Lewis was very attentive, there was a good selection of cocktails which brought the drama! Would recommend.

  Our group of three visited The Alchemist on Sunday, and it was one of the absolute highlights of our whole trip to Edinburgh. If you're even considering eating here, I'd 110% recommend it! The food was stunning, and they're currently offering a festive menu for the season. The restaurant itself is also decorated for Christmas, but in a pleasantly understated way that doesn't detract from the very cool vibe they've clearly worked hard to cultivate. We also tried a few of the different themed cocktails. Each one came served in a different piece of lab equipment, and tasted as well as they looked. However, the standout aspect of The Alchemist is the staff. We spoke to numerous members of the crew over the night, and each one took the time to speak to us beyond answering our questions, and really made us feel like we weren't being a hassle.

  lovely spot. fairly priced cocktails considering the location and theatrics. bar staff are so friendly and happy to help you find what you want. also help make it interesting and are clearly very experienced in what they do. a fun way to spend an evening drinking.

  Just had a lovely lunch here with my partner. Our server Megan was lovely, had great suggestions for food and cocktails and was brilliant to chat to. Delighted with everything we got and we’d definitely come back the next time we’re in Edinburgh!
