I was looking for a traditional Scottish meal. This place had everything I was looking for. Started with Cullen Skink. Which was very good and served with two pieces of bread. I ordered the Haggis for my main. Never had it before, but thought it tasted very good. Finished with the fried mars bars. A perfect ending to the dinner. On the plates were served with a little extra done to present properly.

We loved it here. The staff was so accommodating to our requests to switch from bar to dining seating. We ended up ordering 2 fabulous glasses of wine. My husband had the BBQ messy pig beef burger. I had the Cullen skink. Both were delicious. The live music was AMAZING. Loved this pub while visiting Scotland.

One of the good spots in Edinburgh that you will enjoy several types of beers, whiskeys and bites from the traditional Scottish cuisine. While you’re exploring the city, it’s really worth to stop by and enjoy your drinks and bites! Great atmosphere with the options sitting indoor or outdoor.

Wry nice tavern, awesome decoration and super friendly staff. The ambiance itself is already worth a visit, the selection of whiskey was great and they had a handful of really tasty ales on tap. We also had a fried mars bars which was spot on. Can’t say much about the regular menu as we were there for the drinks. Despite Fringe happening and booming the town the tavern folks were in great spirits and extremely welcoming and friendly.

We were visiting Edinburgh for a day and wanted a traditional Scottish pub for dinner. This was located in the Royal mile and had lots history associated with it. It was also well rated. We are a family of 8 and initially, the hostess said that the kitchen was closing soon & they couldn’t provide dinners. It was also very busy and we lucked out that there was a table that freed up. We were able to order our dinners and they were delicious. I was searching for scotch eggs and they offered it on their menu. Our server was very nice. We enjoyed the ambiance.
