How is Radhaus not on every MUST EAT list in San Francisco?! Maybe it is, maybe it’s not, but it took me 3 years to stumble upon this magnificent establishment! I cannot wait to go back. From the time we were seated until we left, we felt at home. We came to Fort Mason for the Christmas market which we apparently missed because it was only last night, not all weekend. My bad. So it was pure luck we saw Redhaus tucked away in the Fort Mason buildings with beautiful views of the Golden Gate Bridge (when Karl isn’t in full effect 🌁) and the bay. We sat at the counter, I prefer to see the action. Jesus, our server, greeted us almost immediately, took our drink order and suggested the pretzel. We were starving so we wanted to order the full meal, he was patient and knowledgeable about the menu with good food recommendations. We got the elderflower heffenwiezen cocktail. It was the best beer I’ve ever had in my life (for brunch)! The pretzel came, and all bets were off, this quickly became one of our favorite restaurants. The Radhaus breakfast plate came out very fast and it was beautiful. It’s hard to believe it tasted even better than it looked. But wait… there’s more… (I’m in sales and advertising)…. Jesus was chatting us up and we asked about the Chef….my husband and I guessed who the chef was in the kitchen by the way he moved around the kitchen… Chef Jorge came over in his Boston Red Sox hat (we won’t hold that against him), he was so polite, welcomed us and then…. THEN…we saw him opening a cake canister like your Mom has in her kitchen and pull out the most delectable looking piece of carrot cake ever! He swiftly added some orange shavings (you can tell I’m not a chef or food critic)… my Husband and I LOVE carrot cake, it’s one of our favorites! We both said “man, we have to order that cake next time, it looks too good!” And then Jesus brought the cake over to us and said compliments from Chef Jorge!!! It felt like Christmas morning and we said I don’t care how full we are we’re eating this whole slice right now! Chef Jorge, the mind reader, came over and said thank you to US! Thank you Jesus and Chef Jorge for the incredible culinary experience and hospitality. Radhaus is top notch, for any occasion. You must go!

This place was absolutely phenomenal. We got a pretzel, the jagerschnitzel with spatzle, and the smash burger, and everything was amazing. The taste was very authentic and fresh. Jesus was busting his butt during a very busy lunch service, yet still provided great service to our table. Even the views were amazing through all the windows. The biggest let down for me is that I don’t live in San Francisco so I can’t come here all the time!

Dropped in here for a spot of lunch after a hike around tunnel toppers and fort point. Well worth a visit! The food was excellent. Our group of 4 had 4 different dishes and they were all superb. One of the best fingernudlns I've ever had. Good beer selection, as you would expect. We started outside and eventually moved inside. They were having trouble lighting their table side warming lamps, not exactly a disaster. The service was great. A very relaxed, very clean, very efficient operation they have going here. Can highly recommend it.

We visited this place about two months ago as a group of three, and I’ve been debating whether to leave a review. On the positive side: the food was really delicious, the beer was excellent, the location is good and lots of natural light inside. Service from one of the servers was very good and attentive. Unfortunately, the experience was overshadowed by the way we were treated at the entrance. When we first arrived, it was quite busy, and the bearded man at the door almost completely ignored us, giving us a rather dismissive look. We tried not to let it ruin the day. Later, other staff member started asking if we were leaving or not and moved us to another table because a large group was arriving. The worst part was at the end: when we were ready to leave, the entrance man(not our server) silently dropped off a check with a large-party fee included with a pen to include more tip, even though we were only three people. It felt as if he assumed we wouldn’t notice, maybe because we’d had drinks. When we asked our server, he apologized and brought us the corrected bill. And we tipped him great because he was the only one with positive attitude there. Spending over $300, I would expect better treatment. The food and drinks were great, but the attitude from staff members left a very bad impression.

Disappointing experience here. First off, the food was the good part. Good, rich taste and nice presentation. The space is cool. But the service didn’t live up to the rest. 20 minutes after finishing the meal, I had to get up from the table and ask someone behind the bar for the check. Nobody checked in on us at all after dropping off the food. The service sucked, plain and simple.
