Stunning beer garden. Wasn't expecting such an amazing beer garden. I thought it was going to be an old man's pub with a basic garden. I was so wrong. Great buzz in the garden. An amazing selection of beer. Dough brothers pizza The toilets are made to look like shop fronts

Seriously mesmerized by O'Connell's Bar in Galway! From the street, it looks like a charming, classic Irish pub—but step inside, and you find a breathtaking, lush, hidden garden setup that completely transports you. This place is a true hidden gem and needs to be on every Galway itinerary. It’s got that perfect blend of traditional coziness and unexpected magic. Come for the pint, stay for the stunning atmosphere! If you’re looking for a spot that is more than what it looks like, this is it. Go find your little corner in the garden and thank me later! 😉

Stunning pub, great beer selection, fantastic range of spirits. When you walk in, this pub seems much smaller than it actually is. It had been recommended by a couple of people and we knew there was more to see. The bar staff were very welcoming and there was a good range of beers to pick from. When you walk through a door at the back of the front room, it opens up into a huge covered yard, with extra bar, and an area best described as having a “Diagon Alley” vibe. There’s also a rear bar area with lots of cosy little spaces. We loved it here and it’s now firmly on our list of places we’d like to go back to when we’re not working.

Came here for Dough Bros and it was sure worth it! Best pizza ever!!! The staff at the pub were great and so friendly. Loved hanging out in the beer garden and wandering about the back rooms of the pub.

O'Connell's is located right on the permiter of Eyre Square - in the heart of Galway. Fantastic place. Make sure to walk through, all the way, to the beer garden in the back. It is a lively place for beer and other liquid libations. And don't miss out on Dough Bros Pizza!
