  I think I met the rudest person in the French Quarter this afternoon. Friends and I popped in for a drink and they ordered me a "white" rum and Pepsi. The bartender made me coconut rum (which I hate) and Pepsi. This had actually happened before at another bar so I asked him if that was New Orleans thing (rum is white, amber, dark etc.). He did remake the drink and when I tried to ask him if there was another way to order the drink (so I didn't keep getting coconut rum) he told me that that our "conversation was the rudest thing and was completely insulted". Ok....what?! Completely astonished by his reply, I tried to explain myself to which he ignored me and walked away. Again, every person I met in NOLA was incredibly nice. Either this guy is an implant or needs a serious reality check. Definitely won't be back here on my next trip.

  I honestly hate this place but go back every time because it is so cheap. My group has been kicked out on 3 different occasions because the bartenders are the rudest people I've ever met (coming from a seasoned bartender). Last time it was because my friend had just bought a round and was looking in his wallet for cash to tip and she started screaming at him and causing a scene for not tipping, while he was trying to tip. I have just cracked it up to that is their schtick there. Gets a little scary there when they kick you out because the people are a bit rough and start ganging up on you, customers included. I highly recommend just popping in for a round and taking your drinks with you.

  JENNA - Thanks for the incredible service. We Love Molly's and make it a daily stop when drinking our way around the Quarter. Tell the building owners to buy you a new jukebox :-D

  A classic French Quarter dive bar, in a very good way. Inexpensive cocktails, with a generous pour. Always a cool spot made so much better now that Claire (formally with Clair’s Pour House) is sometimes behind the bar. Give it a try for a special spot.
