Stopped in here for some beers on one of our afternoons in Munich. Nice quite place a few blocks away from the madness if the city center.

I rarely write bad reviews, but this experience at Mariannenhof in Munich was just too disappointing to ignore. The food itself was fine, maybe even good, but the service was unbelievably slow.And the real shock came when we got the bill. Two of us ended up paying €100 in a restaurant where the average price is supposed to be €20–30 per person. When the owner asked if a 10% tip was okay, we said yes, only to find €16 in tips on the receipt（we split the bill so it's € 8 in tips out of € 50 on the receipt）. That’s nowhere near 10%. To make it worse, the Chinese menu is the only one that mentions a mandatory 5–10% tip, which felt really unfair. When we tried to question it, the owner brushed us off with a quick “it’s ok” and walked away. We left feeling cheated and humiliated. Munich has many great restaurants — this one just isn’t worth your trust

The marinade on the pork ribs was a perfect balance of salty and sweet. They came with soft cartilage, no unpleasant smell, and were tender enough to enjoy easily. Since our schedule was affected by the rain, the restaurant kindly allowed us to dine earlier. As ribs take longer to grill, the waiter reminded us that we would need to wait about 20 minutes, which we really appreciated. The waiter was very friendly with a warm smile, and the restaurant had a relaxed and leisurely atmosphere. My son and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner to conclude our trip in Germany. Many thanks to the kind people who made it such a pleasant experience.

I had an amazing burger with fries here but my fiancé ordered spareribs that were really dry and not eatible at all. Our server fixed it so that it got taken off the bill, so I give them credit for that. So… definitely recommend the burger!

Great experience. Second time visiting and the ribs never disappoint. Service was nice and server was really friendly. Serving was HUGE. Half rack of ribs could easily feed two. I also ordered the Bratkartoffeln which was good for sharing as well. Will definitely be back every time I'm in Munich. Easily reserved a table online and was accommodated right away to our assigned table.
