  We had lunch late, as we had just arrived into Sevilla and was just glad they were not closed for siesta. They also have chairs outside in the Santa Maria square in case the insides were full. We were advised to order “plates” which was bigger than the smaller tapas as there were six of us to share Worked a treat. The food was great from the calamari to the croquettes to the salmon and the octopus. Lamb on couscous was the highlight I reckon. Highly recommended

  We had such a great experience here that we actually came back a second time during our weekend in Sevilla. Every dish we tried was memorable, but a few stood out as absolute favourites. The calamari plato was excellent, and the grilled octopus with sweet potato purée was one of the highlights of both visits — perfectly cooked and incredibly flavourful. We also loved the Iberian pork wok, which came with beautifully braised pork and had a rich, comforting taste that made us order it again on our second visit. The truffle hummus was another pleasant surprise — creamy, aromatic, and a great starter to share. We also tried the ”tenera rentinta ” meat dish, which was delicious (we even ordered it twice), showing how consistently good the cooking is here. The only dish we didn’t repeat was the lamb with couscous. It was still good — the couscous was very tasty and the lamb was nicely cooked — but compared to everything else, we felt it could have used a bit more sauce or depth of flavour. If you love lamb and couscous, you’ll enjoy it, but the other dishes were simply exceptional. Overall, this is a place we would happily return to again. Great food, great flavours, and one of the top culinary experiences we’ve had in Sevilla.

  We went to La Bartola twice during our visit to Seville because the tapas were just that good. The food truly lives up to all the great reviews. Our favourites were the calamares con mayonesa cítrica (calamari with citrus mayo), the baby squid, and the Ternera Retinta con papas al horno (local beef with roasted potatoes). Everything was perfectly cooked, flavourful, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and helpful with recommendations. Portions are generous for tapas, and the menu offers a great variety without feeling overwhelming. Overall, one of the best tapas experiences we had in Seville. Highly recommend!

  Had a delicious lunch at La Bartola. Lucky to get a table after only 5 minutes. Best tapas we have had so far on our trip. The food was full of flavours and very well prepared and presented. Great wine selection. The service was efficient and friendly even though it was very busy. Very good value for the money. We had the aubergine, zucchini, pork cheek and lamb tapas. Together with some wine, sangria and sherry we left the place very satisfied and in a good mood. Highly recommended!

  Tapas right at home! One of the few places that does not close down for siesta and how lucky were we for that. We had to wait 10 minutes for a table, but it was understandable since the place is quite small and we were 4 people. The salmon dish was truly one of the best salmon pieces we have ever had. To top it all, the steak was a flavor bomb, perfectly cooked as medium rare. There was also a spicy bowl with noodles, rich for the palate and very nicely done. The dishes come in two sizes, and we had the plateau one for all of them. The apple desert was extremely delicious and home made! Definitely worth a shot. The chocolate pana cota was pretty standard, but otherwise tasty. Good, authentic food. We recommend this place as a must for in-between visits!
