  Since the very first days after my husband and I moved to Prague, we’ve been coming to your bar. It became an incredible find for us. For all four years we’ve been telling all our friends that you have the best cocktails and amazing service. We brought every friend visiting us to your place to try your cocktails. But yesterday (December 8th) something unthinkable happened to us. As usual, we invited our friends so they could get to know your bar. When we arrived and stopped at the entrance waiting for the host, a man approached us. After trying to find a table for our group of five, he came back and said he could only offer us two tables in different rooms. At the same time, we immediately noticed a high table with four stools just behind the stairs, and we asked if we could add one more stool. We were told “no” right away because the staff needed space to pass - even though there was clearly enough room. Meanwhile, in the next room people were sitting right in the passageway, and it didn’t bother anyone. I felt genuinely upset because I had told my friends so much about your place, yet the host showed no flexibility whatsoever. And when we tried to find at least some solution, he eventually became irritated with us. Please pay attention to your staff.

  A beautiful and unique bar with great aesthetics. The staff were very polite, and the gentleman who served us offered personalized cocktail recommendations based on our tastes. Excellent service!

  We first discovered Black Angel’s Bar back in 2018 on our very first trip to Prague, and it instantly became one of those rare places you look forward to returning to every time you’re back in the city. After reading Dan Brown’s newest book—which mentions this bar—we made it our mission to come back again on this trip to the Czech Republic. We’re so glad we did. The drinks are phenomenal, crafted with generous pours and real attention to detail. I love that the menu is presented as a book, complete with creative cocktail names and vivid descriptions. It makes choosing a drink both fun and difficult—you’ll want to try everything because it all sounds so intriguing. The atmosphere is stunning: dim, mysterious, and steeped in an old-world charm that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into another time. It’s the perfect place to wind down over beautifully crafted cocktails, have good conversations, or simply soak in the ambiance. The drinks themselves are not only delicious but visually striking. I also appreciate their no-photo policy, which encourages you to stay present, enjoy your company, and savor the experience the way it was meant to be—without a screen between you and the moment. Black Angel’s remains one of our favorite bars anywhere, and it never fails to deliver a memorable night. Highly recommended.

  Only thing I didn’t like is you couldn’t take pictures. The drinks and atmosphere were amazing. Prices were fair for the experience. The live music was cool. The rooftop bar is cool same venue different bar. This bar is in the basement. I had to sneak a picture of our drinks and menu which didn’t seem right.

  An amazing, atmospheric space with unique décor and low lighting. The live piano music adds an extra special touch. They offer a wide variety of cocktails at reasonable prices. Located in the basement of the Prince Hotel, right next to the Astronomical Clock in the square. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Note that photos are not allowed inside the bar.
