We visited the Bath House last night for a drink and decided to have food a mistake. I wonβt make again. ordered the five small plates with an extra one. Four of the dishes were so fried they were rock hard the sausages looked undercooked The smashed potatoes were the only thing edible it was that bad we put down our knife and fork and walked out

Fancied a Sunday lunch, on walking by, see the menu and gave it a shot. Busy but found a seat, Was a little noisy due to quiz night, but not a problem and good atmosphere. Food was well presented, cooked well and the beef was as it should be, pinky red through the middle. Stuffing was banging, cauliflower cheese was good as was the seasoned parsnips π Was nearly more than bargained for, but managed to tuck nearly all of it away.. π.. additional gravy requested and delivered π, cheers π» If visiting the area, Recommend the Sunday lunch , apparently the macaroni cheese was good too .. π

Popped in for a quick drink before heading out to a restaurant we had booked, as it is one of the oldest pubs in Cambridge (17th Century) I had to visit being a fan of historical places. The pub retains it's old world charm with its beamed ceilings and decor, giving it that classic English pub vibe. The pub itself was very popular and was almost completely packed full, so seating could be an issue for larger parties, but it does look like you can reserve tables ahead of time. The pub is owned by Greene King so prices are fairly reasonable, and there be a good selection for everyone one tap. I opted for a pint of Benets Gold as I hadn't had that before, which was a nice crisp lager.

Fish & chips was very good. Peas seemed fresh. Steak & Ale pie, very nice as well. Nice mash, fresh tasting peas. Slaw,,,was average to below average. Staff made it a better experience. We would come back. P.S. only the good Fairy what lives in the sky and grants wishes gets 5 stars

Not a very tourist friendly pub. We weren't sure how to be seated or how to order when we went in. Had to ask someone passing by. The server did tell us just to take a seat review the menu and then go to the bar to order. Table was dirty with rubbish on the side of the table and she never came back to wipe it off. We did ask another server if they would wipe it off and she did but left the trash on the side of the table. Food was good but not anything special. You must pay at the bar when you order. Pub atmosphere was ok but the place is very loud even without being overly crowded. We knew it was a pub and we're fine with that but got off to a bad start.
