1.I firstly and mostly judge a place by its toilet situation, and I am soooooo glad to say, this one was one of the best bar toilets I have ever seen. Hand towels? Check. Hand cream? Check(although they need to refill that bottle) sanitary products for ladies? Check. Hygiene spray?Check (although that one should be inside the toilet stall and not outside, cause ,well, I didn’t see it before going in) And even deodorant and perfumes? Check. They really impressed me with that. 2.Another super amazing thing? They serve water for every table free of charge , that is called culture btw. CULTURE! If I am hydrated, not only won’t I get a hangover the next day, but I will also be able to order and drink more drinks :). So , not only a smart business decision, but a very considerate one. 3.The drinks were STRONG, that is really important considering the price of drinks these days. Again , happy with that too. 4.The staff and the owner were very nice and lovely, the atmosphere was cozy and access to the servers was easy and fast. My suggestion for a tiny improvement: I would say they need more sharing type of snacks options for groups of people, maybe a fries platter or wings platter or sth? The snack option for the group was limited to only like peanuts and olives and a Nachos platter, so … not much of a choice over there. Also, The delicious sparkling wine was very lovely. We really enjoyed our time. Overall, I am happy to have found this hidden gem (as my friend called it)

My girlfriend and I have visited this bar a couple of times, and we absolutely love it. The cocktails are fantastic, the atmosphere is cozy, and the staff is the true highlight—friendly, fun, and welcoming. We’ll definitely be back soon!

Great place for cocktails in the Ruttensheid, Essen's hipster neighbourhood. Try the Vesper Martini!
