The decor and elegance are exquisite and very rich The food was also excellent. Mushroom cream soup was10/10, The beef Wellington7/10, The lobster risotto 10/10. Congratulations to chef Kevin and chef Donald The surface was excellent. Jonathan and Julian were very friendly and efficient The only problem that should be corrected is the loud contemporary music. It should be lowered down in volume and replaced by light classical music to go with the classical decor

Bar George – A Stunning Blend of History, Luxury, and Elegance Bar George at the Le Mount Stephen hotel is truly a spectacular experience from the moment you walk through the doors. The historic architecture is breathtaking rich woodwork, ornate details, and a grand, gilded-age feel that transports you to another era. Every corner of the space reflects luxury and refinement, making it one of Montréal’s most visually stunning dining and cocktail destinations. The dark, intimate ambiance makes it the perfect setting to enjoy their luxurious cocktails. Whether you’re relaxing at the bar or seated in one of their elegant dining spaces, each drink feels like a crafted masterpiece, balanced, flavorful, and beautifully presented. One thing to keep in mind is that Bar George can get very busy. The wait can be long, especially during peak hours or if you’re coming with a larger group, so reservations are highly recommended. It’s definitely worth planning ahead to fully enjoy everything this incredible venue has to offer. I’ll absolutely be returning, whether it’s for another unforgettable meal, to sip cocktails in that gorgeous atmosphere, or even to stay at the Le Mount Stephen hotel. Bar George is one of those places that leaves a lasting impression, combining historic charm with modern luxury perfectly.

I loved it, it's an special place for special moments I went with my wife and we had a great time there, the attention is really good, the place is really beautiful you can have really good pictures there, and finally the food was really good, I ordered the abeef Wellington and it was perfect. Advice: there are plenty of parking places near and once inside try to take a picture with you on the stairs that drives you to the second floor that will be a perfect photo.

Bar George never disappoints when it comes to atmosphere and style. Set in a breathtaking heritage mansion, it’s one of those rare places where the décor alone makes you feel like you’re in for something special. On a lively Wednesday night, the vibe was spot on, energetic yet refined, the perfect backdrop for a business meeting or a relaxed evening out. The lobster risotto was rich and perfectly balanced, creamy without being heavy, and full of flavor. The truffle gnocchi followed suit, decadent, aromatic, and indulgent in all the right ways. Paired with a beautiful Italian Chardonnay, the meal hit a perfect note between elegance and comfort. Service was professional and friendly, though a touch more attentiveness would have elevated the experience to perfection. Still, the team delivered with warmth and class throughout the evening. You can’t help but wonder how electric this place must feel on a weekend, given how impressive it is midweek. Between the stunning setting, top-tier food, and refined energy, Bar George is a must-visit in Montreal, a timeless blend of grandeur and modern dining charm.

This place is absolutely gorgeous! We celebrated my partner’s birthday there, and it was an experience of its own, not just a dinner date. The food was nicely served, and they offer split bowls, which I don’t see in Vancouver a lot. It’s a very convenient idea! Wellington was soft and delicious, and our favourite was the mushroom soup, which we couldn’t get enough of! The chicken roulade was soft, and the steak tartare was okay.
