This place is loud, packed, and built for communal seating—so if you enjoy dining elbow-to-elbow with strangers while shouting across the table, you’re in luck. Service is solid and impressively fast, which is great if you’re hungry, but also a clear sign that the kitchen is running more like a well-oiled factory than a culinary studio. The food is… fine. Not bad, not memorable—just squarely average. People come here for the spectacle, not to wax poetic about flavors. Tourists love it, locals bring out-of-town guests, and everyone seems to agree the experience is the main course. Staff zip around at full speed managing the crowd, creating a constant hum of movement and noise that borders on sensory overload. Prices are a touch ambitious for what lands on the plate. Would we come back? Probably not. Munich has far too many great places to eat where the food—not the chaos—steals the spotlight.

There’s a certain vibe here, you’ll have to be okay with the hustle and bustle. Service was rushed or almost non existent due to the sheer amount of people present (at dinner time). Food was good, portion and taste wise. Beer and the beer-house vibes were just amazing. The prices were very friendly too. Definitely a unique experience but just be aware of what you are getting yourself into and you’ll be fine.

Super busy spot that feels like a mini Oktoberfest tent! The vibe is definitely the main reason to come, lively, loud, and full of energy. The food itself is average at best, but if you’re here for the atmosphere, it delivers

Everything I hoped for in a traditional Bavarian beer hall, warm, buzzing, and full of character. The vaulted ceilings strung with hops set the scene, and the food carried it through. I went for the Munich Sausage Salad after my waiter politely (and hilariously) tried to talk me out of it, saying it’s “something only Germans eat.” 😂 I stuck with my choice, and it turned out to be one of the best dishes I had on my entire trip through Bavaria, simple, tangy, and absolutely addictive. The other plates, from hearty sausages and spätzle to apple strudel with ice cream, only reinforced that this place takes its classics seriously. Between the friendly service, the atmosphere, and the food, it’s a spot I’d come back to without hesitation.

Not the best food, but the ambience is absolutely worth it. This historic, beautifully maintained restaurant is full of charm—every detail, from the vintage photos to the windows, adds to the experience. The beer, of course, is delicious. Service is fine, by typical German standards. Prices are reasonable, and overall, no regrets about coming here. It’s a great spot for the atmosphere alone
