  Atmospheric and cosy, yet modern enough to be both a great hangout place and a date spot. Great typical german food that adheres to most tastes, brilliant beer. Our server didn’t speak Swedish, but was otherwise nice!

  This place had very good food. Sadly the environment is a bit on the noisy side and the metal pillar in the tables can make it a bit hard to properly talk with people in your group since they block the view. The food however is of very high quality. The schnitzel is paired with a nice sauce and well flavored spiced butter and thr curry wurst sausage has a high percentage of meat and lots of flavor. I'd definitely want to visit again another time and have some other nice food.

  The portions were generous and the service was great! However the food is so heavy it was hard for us and maybe go there if you are prepared for this type of food! :) We left with a big box for home hehe

  First off I'm German (from Munich, Bavaria). As such there are good and bad things about the Alt Berlin where the positives outweigh in the end. Who would I recommend it for? Friends who are looking to enjoy some drinks together and people who want to get a first taste of German drinks and cuisine. Who isn't this for? Picky people who expect top notch cuisine and who prefer a quiet place. The food was above average, although it is not what I would call 'traditional' or 'authentic'. The Gin and Tonics were spot on however! Overall, it felt a bit too crowded, too smelly, and tried to be too many things at the same time without excelling at anything.

  Nice chill place. Friendly waitors. Huge portions for affordable price. I'd wish they had option with smaller portions for people like me. Good food. I would personally prefer fries over potato salad, but it was good too. Tea/decaf coffee not available.
